Researchers from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) have discovered a Fitness Calculator to accurately quantify your fitness level. Depending on your fitness level, you can be “younger” or “older” than your biological age.
This complex VO2 calculator is an online tool that offers an approximate prediction of a person’s VO2 max (maximal oxygen uptake) and fitness age. The necessary data is gathered without having to exert any physical energy or time. Knowing one’s fitness age will help you adjust your daily activity and diet to improve your overall wellness.
Traditionally speaking, people would be required to perform a series of strenuous and invasive tests to get the same results. This method of measurement is far better and just as effective I’d say. Way to go Norway for another neat discovery.
To improve your fitness age (and get younger), be sure to establish a fitness routine that challenges your physical potential. Try incorporating interval-training to increase you VO2 and reduce the amount of processed foods that contain high amounts of fat, sugar, and carbs.
